SO today my group talk about the website that we have been working on. So come and check it out: Campus Penguin
Process:
So as Project Manager, I had fun with my group. It was a little hard at first, I though I wasn't cut to be the "Project Manager". But I soon realize that I have a great group. There were some time that I thought I was going to have a hard time talking to them, seen I was the only girl in the group. I got to learn to step up and speech up to my group when I need to. In my group, we did follow the Timeline greatly. The way I make sure that we were following the timeline was sending email and getting on their back when I needed too. I would also double check before class would start on how they were able to finish on what had to be done, that was on the Timeline. They were all able to be on time. So I'm very with my group.
Final thoughts on class:
My final thought about the class was that I had fun and that I was glad to be part of it. During the 11 week, I got to enjoy the fun when my group got form and started to get the project started. I like how Sharon had us pick from a hat about our role, leaving it up to faith. I was able to understand being the leader of the group is not that is easy as it look from being in the class. It was a great class to be in and I enjoy every minute in there.

Campus Penguin Update (HW)
Week 8 (Nov. 23, 2010): Usability Testing for Campus Penguin
For my group website, I first tested the links to see if it was working but what caught my attention was that banner that my group made. It came out great. As for having someone to test it, seen she use internet explorer, all the list that was under the banner when under the post so that she can't see anything but she did enjoy the banner and the penguin that follow that mouse. This is what she should when she was using internet explorer, "OMG! I love the banner but the problem is though I can't really read the links because it's blue text on a blue background."
But she seem to know how the website go and the flow of it plus she enjoy the website. I believe she would use it, if she had any books or other thing to sell for.
Week 9 (Nov. 30, 2010): class critique
Post to blog your class critique using this rubric.
I think that I can't do a class critique. (may update sometime soon on this one)

multimedia element/jQuert Tutorial
Week 7
My group website have some images but have mostly texts so for multimedia element would be use in my group website not a lot. There would be images of what people would be selling. There won't be much sound in the website either seen it mostly text and some images. "For low-vision users, text can be magnified. Blind users can have text read by special software or rendered by a Braille reader. For those with technology limitations, text loads quickly and can be viewed on nongraphical browsers. Another strength of text over media content is that it can be read and indexed by search engines and translated into other languages. The best alternate for multimedia content is the written word." (from "Web Style Guide",3rd edition book)

The links provide tutorial on Text Alternatives. So if the images are not working or anything else then we would us the text alternatives should replace it.

Strongest/Weakest Elements
Week 6
Questions:
Post to your blog what you did for your group project this week, how you think this adds to the overall success of the project, and give examples of the site's strongest and weakest elements
For week 6, my group talk about the design and we also answer the question that Sharon wanted the group to answer for week 7. We thought about the answer through and came up the best answer we knew would be suited for. We finally agree on the color of the website. I saw the CSS that Alfonse and Federico have been working and it look great. I also talk to Kosta and Brent on the coding and seem to have it all of it. Mike seem be on the right road too. For me, I have been checking up on them.
Strongest Elements:
I believe the strongest elements is the logo and banner because the name and the image that go put together. Also other strongest would be a good use to the students.
Weakest Elements:
I believe that the link from WordPress (the main part we are using as the backend) are going to be a problem but with Kosta and Brent on the team, we would be able to fix it.

Campus Penguin (Week 5)

So my team is working on the upcoming website. (You can see the image up above.) We agreed on some colors for the website and the design is fine.
We decided the standed layout is 960px grid width. Basically means that everything will be within 960px range horizontally. For the vertical access, there is no limit given. Af far for other electrionics like the iPhone, my group is making another CSS sheet so that user vistits can visit it on their phone.
As far as changes go, we implemented a user friendly sign in area for guests to sign into, and fixed the error for the logo.

Web_Layout
Here is the Layout of the website for Team BravoSF:

So let me explain the layout to you. On the top left, that is were the logo is going to be at. On the top right, you can see that there a nav bar and a sign in. Right under it, you can see the search bar. Where you can search up on the things you want to know. Right under that is where you get your result. On the side of the result, you can put a post up but only if you have an account. Well I hope that help you understand the layout.

Week 3 (Oct. 19, 2010)
As project manager, I add for this week was:
Kosta had remind that I didn't send out an email so I quickly send out a couple of emails and I got about 3 of my group mate telling me what they had done and what I need to get done.
~~~~~~
One way to target my audience is to tell them about what the website is about and listen to what feed back they have. By using that, I can talk to my group and see what we can do to upgrade it.
- Contract
- Ideas for Logo
- continue coding set up
- flowchart should be up
- wireframes and web_layouts ready to go
Project Info
Week 2: I'm happy that my group had pick up a theme, even if it did take a while but now my group can get things going. We got into a group about 2 times talking about it.
Well I intend to have for this week is to have the Wireframe ready and the Kosta and Brent had also saw it too so that they would be able to start coding soon. Plus the research about how we can get our website better then the rest that are out there and how can we make it interesting too.
My duties and responsibilities are to email the group about and update also update maybe before class start. To see if everything is fine but not falling apart.
Week 1
On Oct. 5, 2010 was the first day for Interm. Web Design with Kaitner.
In class we talk about two term words
Then the next thing we talk about was how during this quarter we were going to work in groups. So now we have 2 groups.
These are the people that are in my group and there role:
Proj. Mgr. - is me
Art Director - Alfonse S.
Technical Director - Kosta G. and Brent M.
Contect Director - Federico C.
As Proj. Mgr. or leader as the group, I have to do the timeline and make sure everyone is doing something while everyone is on the same pages.
For the timeline, I just have to list now on what going to happen on days that need to be done for my group to move on to the next tasks. The problems I anticipate would be that I need to talk to my group more and speak up too.
